If your motorcycle needs a tow, you want an easy solution, not more problems. That’s why we tell you up front exactly what the cost will be, when we can get there, and how we’ll take care of your machine all along the way.

Here’s the short version. You’ll give the pickup and drop-off addresses, tell me what kind of motorcycle we’re dealing with, and mention anything unusual that could make it harder to move (flat tires, laneway access, etc.). I’ll give you the price and we’ll find a time that works.

When it’s time for your service, my truck’s platform lowers flat to the ground. No ramps involved.

Your motorcycle gets strapped down securely and delivered to the drop off address. The goal is to make the whole thing feel a lot less complicated than it did before you called.

1) It all starts with your pick up and drop off addresses

The pick up and drop off addresses are the two most important details so we can figure out exactly how long a job will take, and how much it will cost. The year, make, and model, also helps to understand what we’re dealing with.

Lastly, it’s a good idea to share any other details that could impact the job, including:

• No starts
• Flat tires
• Seized brakes
• Locked handlebars
• Laneway pickup
• Storage unit
• Underground parking lot pickup

Unlike other towing companies, the price I quote you will never change, as long as you’re up front about your motorcycle’s condition.

2) You get the price

Once I have the addresses, the algorithm estimates how much time and gas the job will take, and creates the price for the tow.

3) A time that works for everyone

The next step is figuring out the timing.

Here’s the good news: everyone doesn’t need to be at the same place at the same time.

For motorcycles going to or from motorcycle dealerships or repair shops, we work with the business to find pickup or delivery times that meet both the customer’s and the business’ needs. Sometimes that means picking up motorcycles when you’ve already left for work, or delivering motorcycles after hours.

For motorcycles going from a seller to a new buyer, you don’t need to make extra trips across the Greater Toronto area. I can coordinate a time that works well with your seller, and deliver the motorcycle to you at your home at a time that works for you.

I work until midnight, but I always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment!

4) You get a realistic arrival window

You’ll get a 30 minute arrival window for jobs within the GTA, and a 45 minute window for jobs a little further away. That way there’s no keeping you waiting endlessly, and no rushing dangerously.

5) The platform lowers flat to the ground

On arrival, truck’s lift lowers the entire platform flat to the ground. There are no ramps involved for your motorcycle to fall off of.

If your motorcycle runs, I’ll ride it onto the platform and into a wheel chock which holds it upright, while I strap it down using BMW’s factory best practices for securing a motorcycle.

For most motorcycles, the customer doesn’t need to do anything. But if your bike is very heavy, or not running, I may need a hand pushing it onto the platform. But again, the platform is flat on the ground, so for two people even a dead motorcycle is very easy to load.

6) Your bike gets delivered to where it needs to be

On arrival at the destination, I unload the motorcycle. Some new motorcyclists are cautious and want their motorcycle put in the home garage for them. Other motorcyclists can’t wait to ride their new machines and take off for a ride the moment I’m done unloading.

If I’m towing to an open motorcycle dealership or repair shop, I hand the key to the service desk and make sure the shop has your name and telephone number before leaving.

For an after-hours delivery, the motorcycle may be left in an agreed location, and the key placed in the shop’s night drop box. We sort that out before the job.

7) You can pay by cash, credit card (or e-transfers in advance)

Once the motorcycle is delivered, you can pay by cash or credit card.

E-transfer is also accepted, but it needs to be sent in advance. Some e-transfers arrive immediately and others can take forever. You don’t want me becoming your new room mate as we wait an hour for the e-transfer to come through. Sending ahead keeps things simple and saves us both the wait.
